Privacy policy

Browsing without an account

You can use all directory pages without an account. When you request a page, the server logs your IP address, the URL, the timestamp, and your browser user agent. We process this data to deliver the page and block abuse. Our legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server logs rotate and we build no profiles from them.

We set no cookies unless you sign in.

Visit statistics

We track visits using a self-hosted instance of Matomo at matomo.sprqvntrs.com. Matomo sets no cookies. It records the page URL, the referrer, your browser details, and your device type. Our server processes your IP address. All data stays on our server. We never sell it or share it with ad networks. We analyse site traffic under our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your account

When you register, we store your email address, your display name, and a hash of your password. We never store plain passwords. We send verification emails to confirm your address, as well as password reset emails when requested. We process this data to fulfill our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

When you sign in, we set a single session cookie. It keeps you authenticated, is strictly necessary, and requires no consent.

To prevent credential stuffing and spam accounts, we record the email address, IP address, and timestamp for each sign-in and signup attempt. We delete these logs after 30 days.

Ratings and comments

We link your ratings and comments to your account.

  • Comments are public. Everyone can see your comment, display name, and posting date.
  • We show ratings only in aggregate totals and averages. We never show who voted.
  • You can report comments. Only site staff see these reports.
  • Staff can hide comments. Multiple reports hide a comment automatically until staff review it.

Who processes your data

  • Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner runs the server and database in its Ashburn, Virginia data center in the United States. Hetzner handles data under a data processing agreement.
  • Email delivery: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, using its email service in Frankfurt, Germany. It receives your email address and the text of account emails.

We do not sell your data. We share data with third parties only when the law requires it.

How long we keep data

We keep your account details, ratings, and comments until you request account deletion. We erase sign-in and signup records after 30 days. Database backups rotate and overwrite on a short cycle.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, and export your personal data. To exercise these rights or delete your account, email info@sprqvntrs.com from your registered address. Deleting your account also removes your ratings and comments.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
